Green Garden Tablescape

Green Garden Tablescape

This is a table that follows nature's example with layers of tonal greens. After all, it is where the Wild Garden print began: hand-drawn ranunculus, hellebores and myrtle berries intertwine with evergreens.

The setting for this tablescape is the exquisite restored haveli of Deeppura Garh. What a privilege to lay the table beneath the cusped arches of this dining room.

For me, hosting always begins with the seasons - from the menu to the flowers. An early morning explore of the garden revealed bountiful pomelos ripened from the late October heat.

Wild garden tablescape details

For flowers, clouds of white bougainvillea with confetti of Madagascar Periwinkle. Kumquat and guava fruit clustered next to the pomelos. Obviously these are all exotic fruit but any green varieties would work (for example, Bramley apples and Conference pears in England).

Joyful on a breakfast bar or elegant on a dining table, placemats are a hard-working addition to your hosting cupboard. The green Wild Garden print blooms with hand-block printed flowers from an English garden but it’s the details we love most: green stripes on the reversible back, piped edge and a quilted design all give a luxurious finish.

Sold as a pair. The price stated is for 2 placemats.
