A monotone tablescape is one of the simplest ways to create an impactful, elegant look. I was lucky enough that the exquisite, hand-painted Blue Room at Deeppura Garh was also our setting for the day!

A session learning about the heritage craft of blue pottery - a fascinating 45-step process - inspired the colourway of this design. Mysterious, romantic, calming, it would work as well for New Year's Eve as a summer lunch alfresco.

Handmade blue pottery bud vases held butterfly peas and Madagascan periwinkle flowers from the garden. Cutlery was tied with matching raw silk ribbon (just a knot - silk this special can be effortless). Coupe glasses added a pop of jewel tone.
