For the debut outing of the new blue Roses & Berries print, I could think of no better spot than the Writers' Bar at Raffles Jaipur. The room - drenched in blue and intricate murals - captured my heart when we stayed last summer, the month it opened.

From its winding staircase to its pastel blue corners lined with floor-to-ceiling rare books, this space enchanted me the moment we saw it in August last year. The tablescape was designed to complement its soft blues and whites with a fully tonal look.
The Good Earth plates, finished with a silver edge, set off the cool blue tones of the linens, as does the cutlery, tied with hand-dyed silk ribbon in grey-blue. Full garden roses, grown on our terrace in Jaipur, smelt divine, with their stems left as long as possible for height.

Exquisite crystal glassware, designed especially for the hotel, was just awaiting a Jaipur Sling - the hotel's twist on the iconic Raffles Singapore Sling.
For a more relaxed get together at the end of the day, we moved to the hotel gardens where the new Roses & Berries placemats brought joy and modernity to this antique brass table. Pops of turquoise from handmade Ram Gopal Blue Pottery vases completed the setting.
