Roses Berries Tablescape

Roses Berries Tablescape

The new Roses & Berries collection has just launched—an ode to summer days in the Cotswolds, combined with the warm, sun-drenched hues of Jaipur. I couldn't believe my luck when I stepped into the new Padmaa hotel - a 289-year-old haveli full of those same mints and pinks. Here's how we styled it...

Padmaa Jaipur

The table setting is a celebration of colour, nature and craft with the new print as hero. I loved the interplay between the colours of the hotel’s Chandni (or moonlit courtyard) and my new block print so echoed this across the scheme.

The motifs of strawberries and roses are layered print on print: tablecloth, napkins and hand-painted menus (now available to buy, my first foray into stationery!). I love a touch of whimsy so placed the place cards into sliced strawberries and painted the same on taper candles too (easy to do with acrylic and a 000 fine brush). Roses grown on our terrace in Jaipur shone in bud vases, set beside plump ranunculus, full of frilly petals.

Glassware from renowned Jaipur homeware brand Anantaya caught the evening sun light, each finished with jewel tones of green and rose quartz. Green petersham ribbons were used to tie the brass cutlery (also from Anantaya - I adore their graceful curves).

As the sun stretched its last languid rays across the skyline of the Old City, a diffused pink light was cast across the scene. A Jaipur moment I wish I could bottle and a colour combination I’m delighted to share with you in this new design.
